I am so sorry Becki, I didn't think it was necessary to say which one is which. Maybe Mike is a girl's name in some place though. I like how when Mike won US junior nationals and ran 1:47 (and James peed himself) I thought "wow, but its a shame that he will be so big-headed now he is famous and sweet because he used to be so nice". But then when I came back to Kent, Mike was still nice (maybe nicer because of the experience). That pretty much blew me away.

I like how Mike is truly the best person i know and everyday is better than the last one because it's one more day that I have had Mike in my life.
The thing that was so striking to me when I first met him was his ability to accept everyone for who they are. He gave everyone a chance and never judged someone on anything, and never held grudges on anyone other than poor character. He is an amazing motivator, and 100% genuine. And Gareth is right, I didn't know Mike before his success in track, but had I not seen him run myself, I never would have guessed he had achieved so much. A very hard-working and humble person.

The first time I met Mike was my first run here at Kent and he came up from behind me and just looked super serious and even sort of pissed off. I thought he was a very unpleasant person and I was actually scared to talk to him. But the next time i saw him he had some sponge bob square pants wrist bands on. Very bad first impression but nice recovery kiddo.
